BetterCare Home Safety Action Wall: Ideas and Practices for Safe Care for Life
To mark World Patient Safety Day 2026 — “Safe care for noncommunicable diseases” — under the WHO slogan “Safe care for life!”, BetterCare is launching the BetterCare Home Safety Action Wall: a collection of ideas and practices for safe care at home. 🏠💙
From 1 to 17 September, BetterCare members are invited to share good practices, experiences and ideas for action from their countries to improve the safety of people living with chronic noncommunicable diseases who receive care at home. 🌍
You can contribute as many good practices or ideas as you wish, on topics such as: medication safety, care coordination, caregiver support and training, health literacy, digital solutions, transitions from hospital to home, recognition of deterioration, access to professional support, falls and home risks, caregiver well-being and equity.
Each contribution can be: 📌
🟢 Good Practice — something already implemented that is helping to make care at home safer.
💡 Idea for Action — a practical proposal that could improve safety for people receiving or providing care at home.
Please keep each contribution short and simple: 📝
🌐 Country
🏥 Author / Organisation
🏷️ Good Practice or Idea for Action
📌 Title
💭 Main idea: what is it? (1–2 sentences)
✅ Why does it work / what could it improve?: (1–2 sentences)
🔗 More information: link, publication, project or contact (optional)
Each contribution will become one entry in the BetterCare Home Safety Action Wall, creating a practical, international collection of ideas and experiences that can later be organised by country, topic and type of contribution.
The aim is simple: to share what is already working, generate new ideas, learn from each other, and show how BetterCare is contributing internationally to safer care at home. ✨
Different countries. Many ideas. One shared goal: Safe care for life — also at home.

Share one good practice or idea for safer care at home. Keep each box to one or two sentences — short entries work best on the wall. You can send as many contributions as you wish, one at a time.
